US Patent 7749407 - High work function transparent conductors

http://www.freepatentsonline.com/7749407.html

Organic LEDs usually use transparent electrode materials to avoid unwanted light absorption. One problem with conventional transparent electrode materials is that the work function is too low for effective injection of holes into the electroluminescent material of the OLED. This patent from E.I. du Pont teaches a nanoparticle based material with an improved work function. Claim 1 reads:

1. A transparent conductor having a work function greater than 4.7 eV consisting of conductive nanoparticles and a fluorinated acid polymer.
